Narrative change is often a precondition for large-scale social change. Laws and policies rarely shift unless public perception shifts first. In an increasingly authoritarian climate, it is imperative for civil society actors to establish an underlying “common sense” to drive public opinion, policy, and behaviours that advance our social and political causes.
We are the Narrative Convergence—a network of social change and progressive actors representing civil society organizations, technologists, media practitioners, artists, cultural groups, grassroots activists and social justice advocates. We are anchored in human rights principles, grounded in our communities, and engaged in narrative change practice.
